The following products are available for home infusion:
- subcutaneous immune globulin
- C1-Esterase
- Alpha-1 Proteinase Inhibitor (Glassia)
- factor concentrate

Provider Information
A written, signed order must be submitted by a provider registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) or a nurse practitioner registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. The request must include the following information:
- The required product
- Dosing information including frequency and duration
- A completed Informed Consent for Transfusion. The signed informed consent is valid for the duration of the prescription submitted.
- The order is valid for a maximum period of twelve months.
- A maximum of a one-month supply will be dispensed to patients at a single time.

Patient Information
- Effective January 1, 2026, patients will only be able to pick up a one-month supply of product for home infusion
- Products are released to the individual named on the request form and only with identification confirming the name and date of birth. In extenuating circumstances, patients may designate someone to pick up product on their behalf; however, the patient must notify the lab in advance and provide the individual’s name and date of birth. - Patients should contact the laboratory and advise when more product is required. Please allow 72 hours for the laboratory to order and receive product from Canadian Blood Services. Laboratory personnel will call and advise when the product is ready for pick up.
- Laboratory staff shall notify patients when there is one remaining refill left on their order. Patients are responsible for contacting their provider and requesting a new order. Note: The order must come from the provider.
