Hospital Launches Speakers Bureau

Smiths Falls, ON – The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital (PSFDH) today announced the launch of a Speakers Bureau.  Through this free service, healthcare professionals, physicians, nurses, and executives associated with the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital are available to speak to community groups, schools, service clubs, churches and other organizations throughout the catchment area. The service is designed to provide groups with up-to-date information on a variety of healthcare and medical topics.  As part of the PSFDH commitment to educating and informing the community about the Hospital, our services, health related topics and other topics of interest, the Speakers Bureau will provide experts in a variety of healthcare and medically-related areas who can speak or provide important information.

Todd Stepanuik, President & CEO, stated, “We have a host of dynamic and skilled speakers from the Hospital eager to share their knowledge on a broad overview of topics such as, but not limited to: pain management, maintaining a healthy weight, diabetes management, volunteering, careers in healthcare, hospital strategic directions, infection control, physician recruitment, governance, and signs of stroke.”
